What is Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapy specializes in helping you regain independence in work, school, self-care and leisure activities. Our client-centered practice works with you over multiple sessions to achieve your goals. Our methodology typically involves evaluating your injury, illness or disability and providing targeted therapy towards achieving independence in your daily activities.

I have multiple sclerosis and even though I had never experienced any driving difficulties or accidents, I felt it would be prudent to have a driving evaluation. My physiotherapist recommended Susan Sofer of ACT Driving. As a nurse, I have pretty high expectations of other health professionals and I was not disappointed. I was given an appointment within 3 days and I received clear, detailed explanations about each step of the process. Subsequent appointments were made promptly and phone calls and emails answered quickly. All official documentation was handled expeditiously. I was treated courteously and with respect. Given the seriousness of a driving evaluation, a process that was potentially stressful, Susan gave me confidence and responded professionally to all of my questions. I have since recommended Susan Sofer to colleagues and friends alike.
